Learn how to apply digital painting tools and techniques towards your own projects.


This course will teach students Photoshop techniques used by industry professionals and more importantly; the theory of painting, color and light. Upon completion, the successful student will be able to apply their knowledge of painting in Photoshop to enhance the believability and appeal of their own images. This course is a good primer for intermediate courses at Talent Tree.

Students will need their own laptop + digital tablet to fully benefit from this live course.

It is recommended that students have some knowledge with Photoshop and basic drawing experience before taking this course.

Samuel Williams is a concept artist and illustrator living in Toronto, Canada. He works fulltime at Gameloft Toronto as the lead artist on an upcoming unannounced project. Previously he was the lead concept artist on Disney Magic Kingdoms for iOS. Prior to he worked on Uno & Friends and several web games for Nickelodeon Digital including Spongebob Squared and the Legend of Korra. Sam actively develops his own IP outside work and believes in constant self improvement and a strong work ethic - tools that he hopes to imbue in students who take his class.
